CLAY DAVID  has been Professor, Drama Department Chair and Artistic Director for the Knox Performing Arts Center since 1994 and has directed and produced over 40 productions at CCC. 

Clay's acting highlights- Broadway: Starmites, Off Broadway: Birth of the Son (Joseph). National tours: Side By Side By Sondheim (lead male), Jesus Christ Superstar(Pilate),A Christmas Carol (Jacob Marley/Ens). Regional: Conneciticut Repertory Amadeus (Amadeus), The Dresser (Norman), Learned Ladies (Trisotin), and Sweeney Todd (Tobias). Other regional and tours include The Nerd(The Nerd),Hamlet (Hamlet), South Pacific (Cable), How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Finch).

In the Bay Area, he has directed several shows at San Francisco’s New Conservatory Theater including Del Shore¹s (Dharma and Greg, Will and Grace, Queer as Folk, Touched by an Angel)  play Southern Baptist Sissies. 

Clay also directed National and International theatres and festivals at Edinburough Scotland Fringe Festival,  Jerry Rojo Environmental Theatre,CT,  Poculi Ludique Societas, Toronto, Canada, and  theSan Francisco Fringe/Venue 9 Theatre California Travel Troupe of San Francisco.


KATHRYN G. McCARTY  As Artistic Director and Founder of Galatean Players Ensemble Theatre, Ms. McCarty has received critical acclaim for her work as director of "Falsettos" and "Making Mary," for which she won Shellie Awards for Best Director, and Best Musical Production.  

Before settling in the Bay Area in 1990, McCarty  worked at the prestigious McCarter Theatre at Princeton University as well as the Chicago Company of "Forbidden Broadway".   She has also toured Europe extensively over a 2 year period as Production Stage Manager for the Broadway Musical Company's "West Side Story"

As a playwright, Ms. McCarty has seen the following works produced at theatres throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles and Chicago.  Her full length works include:  “RIVETS”,  :Defining Form", "The Fitting Room", "Henry Ever After", "The Last Hoorah," "Bessie!" "The Ladies Quintet" and "When We Danced".    One act productions include:  "Star Polisher," "The Beach," "Bread Baking Time", "Virgin Sacrifices," "The Garden Club", and "Modern Wooly Mammoths".

ANDREA WEBER is a director, choreographer, teacher, and performer working in both dance and theater.  She has worked professionally in the Bay Area  with Berkeley's acclaimed theater company, The Shotgun Players and San Francisco theater's Word 4 Word.  She is also a certified teacher of Stage Combat with Dueling Arts International and has directed fights at CCC and elsewhere.

In 2000 she received the Bay Area Theater Critics Circle Award for Best Choreography for a Play for Caryl Churchill's "The Skriker". Ms. Weber's recent shows include "More Stories from Tobias Wolffe", " Bat Boy! The Musical", "Three Musketeers", "Angel Face", and her own original productions:  "Night at the Fights" and  "MotherLand:  Uprooted" for CCC Drama.

Ms. Weber received her MFA in theater from the University of Arizona in 1990 and is currently teaching at Diablo Valley and Contra Costa Colleges.


TERRENCE TYRIE IVORY A native of Northern California, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Grambling State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the prestigious Actors Studio Program in New York City.

He is a member of STARS THE AGENCY in San Francisco and believes that Theatre Arts has an impact that goes beyond the stage; it improves performance in school and life. Ivory created the Ivory Arts, Inc. in 2003 as a Theatre and Performing Arts company devoted to uplifting and empowering today’s youth through programs that foster integrity, self-awareness and creativity. JR (JOHN) MOROCCO (Technical Director/Production Designer)  has been at the CCC Performing Arts Center since the day it opened in August,1980. He attended Cal State Northridge and Foothill/De Anza Colleges.

J.R.  is also a Special Effects pyrotechnician with National acclaim. He owns and operates his own special effects company and regularly works on Film, TV, Concerts and Stage projects in Northern California. He is the "go to" FX guy for most major venues in NorCal including Shoreline, Compac arena, San Jose Center for Performing Arts, and the Flint Center.

He has been on the DISCOVERY CHANNEL (“Mythbusters” and “National Geographic”) and CNN / local news as a pyrotechnic consultant.     He has provided award-winning lighting for professional dance companies including Dimensions Dance  in the Bay area and the premier performance of the Koslov ballet in Sacramento.

He teaches Theater Technology for the Drama dept and is the technical director for all events at the Performing Arts center.

J.R. also works regularly in regional Professional theatre at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts. He created Special Effects for two productions of "Phantom", "The Wizard of Oz", and "Damn Yankees".
